Growing primordial of `Ayani' (Clerodendrum multiflorm) and `Anuchhadi' (a localname of plant)is boiled and the suspension is filtered through cotton cloth. Approximately 200 ml. of this extract is mixed with 15 litres of water and the solution is sprinkled over crops like cotton and pigeon-pea to control insect pests. Farmers use this suspension because it is poisonous to any living organism. This practice is in use since time immemorial. |
